As a new business approaching the University, you will be allocated a Business Liaison Manager who make it easy for you to find the right person to talk to and help identify the most appropriate ways in which you can work with the University.

The Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre with Boeing (AMRC)

The Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) with Boeing is a £multi-million partnership which builds on the shared scientific excellence, expertise and technological innovation of the world's leading aerospace company and the world-class research within the University of Sheffield's Faculty of Engineering.

The AMRC's Vison is to become a world-class global research facility developing innovative and advanced technology solutions for advanced materials forming. Building upon Sheffield's historic and indigenous expertise in metal development and processing, the University, Boeing and the AMRC are also keen to now build upon their internationally acknowledged research into other materials such as composites. Novel and new materials will form an integral part within the development of Boeing's new generation planes.

The AMRC is a tangible demonstration of Academia, Government and Industry researching together to develop cutting-edge technologies enables world-class scientists and engineers to deliver real economic and environmental solutions benefiting to everyone.

The Polymer Centre

The Polymer Centre is the largest research centre in the United Kingdom dedicated to polymer science. It engages the University's multidisciplinary polymer related research with business, to encourage enterprise, innovation and regional development in high technology areas. The Polymer Centre is supporting business growth across a diverse spectrum of regional and multi-national companies, by turning latest technology into business opportunities.
