Design Futures Centre for Industrial Collaboration (CIC)

Have you eaten a Marks and Spencer's sandwich recently? If so you'll probably have opened a packet conceived by our product and packaging research and consultancy unit - Design Futures.

Both consumer and commercial buyers are hungry for differentiation and improved performance through innovative new products and packaging. One way to meet this demand is to adopt a creative, multi-disciplinary approach to design and that's what we offer. Design Futures CIC brings together some of the UK's finest creative minds and innovative thinkers to identify new commercial opportunities and develop exciting product and packaging ideas.

Materials Analysis and Research Services (MARS) CIC

From analysing materials at a nanoscale to improving efficiency around a whole factory, MARS CIC can help your company innovate and succeed. Our team offers consultancy on a commercial basis and can provide assistance in many areas, from materials analysis and quality assurance to full-scale materials and product development projects.

Sporting new research

Our Centre for Sport and Exercise Science (CSES) provides consultancy services and research that achieve international standards of excellence. We have a wealth of experience in sports engineering, athlete support, applied research, healthcare and corporate wellness. Our practitioners work in physiology, psychology, biomechanics, nutrition and sport therapy and both our laboratories and staff are accredited by the British Association of Sport and Exercise Science (BASES), as well as being British Olympic Association (BOA) registered.
